  2. A mini-lecture on our approach to studying interaction.

  3. A quiz on assessment.

  4. The structure of our course.

  5. Workshop activity.

Let’s begin with introductions!

  2. Speed meet. (Greeting + name + statement of information).

Why applied conversation analysis?

Assignments

There are three assignments that make up the portfolio exam for this course. Let’s look through the assignments and resources together.

We will practice the aim of each of these assignments in activities together.

Do you have any questions about the assignments? Discuss with your group and note your questions here.

Answers about assignments

Throughout the course, I’ll be updating FQAs about the assignments. Check here first, but if you still are unclear, simply email Amelia with your query.

Thanks for your patience in this slow start to the course. Once we’ve completed the workshop activity (watching a lecture by Prof. Liz Stokoe and answering some easy questions), we’ll be ready to launch into the course tomorrow!
