Dr Amelia Church is a copy editor.

Amelia loves a neat sentence. She also loves writing that has purpose and clarity. One of her favourite books – collected advice on writing from Kurt Vonnegut – is titled Pity the reader.

An academic linguist for 20 years, Amelia is a reviewer for more than a dozen international journals, Book Review Editor for Research on Children and Social Interaction, Co-Editor of books for Cambridge University Press and Springer, as well as expert author in her field (conversation analysis). In supervising and mentoring graduate researchers she has edited hundreds of chapters and research papers.

Amelia knows how to use a semi-colon.

For pleasure, she reads cookbooks, and publications that focus on architecture, interiors and design.

If you are one of these authors, please get in touch. Amelia would be thrilled to help you refine and proof your book.
